Rescue: Footage captured the dramatic moment a ten-year-old girl was pulled from the rubble after spending 17 hours trapped upside down in debris from the Italian earthquake

Rescuers Shouted 'She's Alive!!' as they hauled the incredibly favoured 10-year old girl from beneath the ruins of a building in the devastated Central town of Pescara Del Tronto.

Following the 6.2 magnitude earthquake that took place in Italy on Wednesday the 24th of August 2016 at 3.30am local time, that has reportedly taken the lives of 159 people including 2 babies, 100 more people are believed to be stuck under rubble. This blessed little girl by the name of Giula was fortunate enough to be rescued and alive.

According to the daily mail, one rescuer could be heard saying 'You can hear something under here. Quiet, quiet!' He then urged the child to wriggle free. One other rescuer said 'Come on Giula, Come on... watch your head.' Cheers broke out when she was pulled out.

A brief moment of light on a very dark day in Italy as little Giula was saved. She had spent 17 hours wedged in a collapsed building in what was once a picturesque hamlet. As incredible as it seems, she did not appear to have suffered any serious injuries.

'The ten year old girl was just pulled out from the rubble and she is being taken to the hospital and that is good news. As far as the rest is concerned, the images speak for themselves, you can see what the town looks like.' Danilo Dionisi, a firefighter from Ascoli Piceno said after the girl's rescue

Officials said rescuers had been forced to suspend their search for survivors at the site because it's too dark and dangerous to continue.
