RIO 2016: Cameroonian Athletes look Fab at the opening ceremony of the Olympics

Rio's Olympic Games have officially begun after Friday's Opening Ceremony - a celebration of Brazilian culture featuring Gisele, carnival-style dancing and an elaborate light display. But many were left unimpressed by the cut-price ceremony - which cost just a tenth of London's in 2012, branding it 'boring'.

Others were furious that the money had been spent on the Olympics during Brazil's worst recession in recent years.

Cameroon is scheduled to compete at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This will be the nation's fourteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.

Cameroonian athletes wore the Toghu (Bamenda attire) , same outfit they wore at the London 2012 Olympics.

Cameroonian athletes will compete in the following athletics events;

Boxing
Men's light fly 49 kg
Round of 32

Volleyball
Women's tournament
Pool A
